Last we heard, the 9100 would be using RIM’s SureType keyboard, but if this fits on the BlackBerry Pearl 9100, you might get a full QWERTY keyboard. Which would you want? I vote QWERTY.

NewerTech has announced just such a device with a new Window Mount for the iPhone 3G/3GS. The mount is 9-inches long overall and comes in black only. The device uses a suction cup to mount the iPhone on the window of your car.

The phone holder portion of the mount swivels to allow the phone to be used in landscape or portrait modes. You can buy the mount now for $19.99 and it will also work for sticking the phone to your desk.

WiPower has announced a new developer’s kit for its technology called the Wireless Power Mobile Design Kit. The kit includes the wireless power charge base, access to white label transmitters and a wireless power transmitter good for up to 15W.

The coolest thing about the WiPower technology is that the power can be transferred to your device through a surface such as a wall or a desktop. The developer kit claims to allow you to prototype a device in a day and have it on the market in a few months. The design kit sells for $4500 and is available now.

The app can now send location information and ETA data to Twitter or Facebook if desired without interfering with the GPS nav function. The new update also adds new views to the maps using data from NASA.

The NASA data provides a new Panorama View 3D with 3D terrain views. The update also adds personalized routes with Navigon MyRoutes. The new update brings the app to version 1.5.0. The new features can be purchased in app with the 3D feature costing $9.99. The entire app will sell for $89.99.

The Pong anti-radiation cases are mostly made of silicone, with a “Pong gold PCB module” embedded in the case. Apparently the module has been proven to reduce the radiation from an iPhone into a user’s head to “a third of what it would be without the case.”

We can only guess that the module uses patented “Pong” technology to bounce a tiny ball back and forth and kll radiation dead. That’s our guess anyway. The iPhone 3G/3GS-compatible Pong case is $60, the Blackberry Curve case (compatible with models 8300, 8310, 8320 and 8330) is $50.

Unioo has unveiled a pair of new batteries specifically for the iPhone and iPod that connect to the charge port of the devices. The batteries include the i800 and i1500. The difference between the two is that the i800 has 800mAh of power and the i1500 has a 1500mAh battery inside. The i800 can be pre-ordered for under $40.

A much larger i5400 battery pack is also available that is designed to charge all sorts of devices. The i5400 has a 5400mAh battery and adapters for charging USB gadgets, mobile phones, the PSP, and Nintendo DSI.

TheTalkyOne is the most interesting of the items and is a Bluetooth speakerphone designed for use in the car and the home. It can speak text messages out to the user and can pair with two phones at once. The device has 180 hours of standby time and 15 hours of talk time per charge.

TheTravelOne is a universal travel charger that has plug adapters allowing it to be used in any country. It also has a microUSB cable for charging from a PC. TheCarOne is a car DC adapter with a microUSB cable. The gear is all available now with TheTalkyOne selling for $139, TheCarOne selling for $29.95, and TheTravelOne selling for $39.95.

Case-mate has announced that it is now shipping its new Hug wireless charge system for the iPhone 3G and 3GS. The Hug system includes the wireless charge base, hard case, and a screen protector. The case goes all around the iPhone and is made from injection molded materials.

The Hug is the first wireless charging solution made in accordance with specs from the Wireless Power consortium and uses smart charging tech. The charger stops charging the iPhone when the battery is full. The Hug is available now for $99.99.

Samsung has now priced their Beat R1 portable media player. It comes in two capacities, 8GB and 16GB, for $149.99 and $179.99. The device measures just 8.9mm thin and weighs 50 grams, allowing the R1 to be smaller than a credit card with a 2.6? LCD touchscreen display.

Some other features include an integrated FM radio and recorder, Bluetooth and it will last for up to 50 hours for audio playback or 4 hours for video. here’s also DivX support for video files, as well as Samsung’s Digital Natural Sound Engine (DNSe) 3.0 sound enhancement technology.

The R1 comes in pink, black and silver when it arrives in April.

That’s not too bad when you consider that the case made of 50 percent post-consumer recycled plastic and has an ultra-eco charger. Might be a good backup phone. And besides, you are doing your part for the environment. If you don’t, who will?
